The "Scrunched Butt" style has always interested me and I was over the moon when Aussie Togs added it to their line up. I've wanted a pair of these as soon as the style came out and boy, was my patience rewarded. It took some time before I was comfortable wearing my thongs in public, daring to bare as I will call it from now on. I don't regret the decision however; briefs and trunks feel constricting now, and board-shorts? Not in a million years. Still, there are times and places when you might need or want a little more coverage back there. Or, maybe you want to dabble in something skimpier but leaping straight to thongs is a bit much. Or, you just want something that looks unique. In my opinion, these briefs are great option no matter what the reason. The fit and feel of these briefs is great. I ordered mine in a size 30 and it's a near perfect sweet spot of staying on and in place even when wet, without digging in, pinching or rubbing anywhere. Up front strikes the balance of support and comfort easily. There's some elastic running up the back to get the scrunch effect, and I did notice for the first few moments. Your mileage may vary but soon enough I couldn't feel anything out of the ordinary. Style wise the front isn't anything special, at least not to me. There's good coverage without excess bulk and that's probably all you need to know. The interesting stuff, as always with AT, is around the other side. The 3/4 coverage seems about right. You'll bare more cheek than regular briefs but far from what thongs expose. So far so standard, but now we get to the scrunch. AT made these briefs for butt definition and they've earned a basket of gold stars. They show off the curves of your backside wonderfully, especially if like me you don't neglect squats. Combined with the 3/4 coverage, the scrunch make these an ideal starting point for ditching boardies or if you have to leave the thong at home for whatever reason. Even though I'm a proud thong wearer, there'll be a couple more pairs of these beauties in my collection soon enough.

Description
A ruched back adds gathered detail to this version of the p614 Brazilian brief. The three-quarter rear coverage offers more than a thong, with narrow 1-inch sides keeping the overall cut slim.
A front seam creates the curved shape, and the waist has neither wide elastic nor a cord. This is the ruched-back design rather than the plain Brazilian brief. Shown in size 30 AU.
